How do I set up a recurring delivery?

You can use a standing order to have a delivery repeat automatically, rather than cloning an existing order each time.

Create a standing order

  1. Create your order as you normally would in the Orkestro Portal
  2. Choose how often it should repeat: every day, weekdays only, or specific days of the week
  3. Save the order

Once saved, your standing order appears on the Standing Orders page and begins generating orders on the schedule you chose. Each order is created automatically 48 hours before it is needed, so it appears in your orders list ahead of time rather than at the last moment.

View and manage your standing orders

  1. Navigate to the Standing Orders page
  2. Review each standing order's reference, merchant and status, its pickup and dropoff details, and how often it repeats
  3. Search, filter by merchant or status, sort, group or change which columns are displayed

Stop a standing order

  1. Navigate to the Standing Orders page
  2. In the actions column for the relevant standing order, select the option to stop it.

Stopping a standing order prevents any further orders being created from that point onwards. Orders that have already been generated for upcoming dates are not cancelled automatically, so you will need to cancel them manually if you no longer need them.

Track the orders your standing order creates

Your orders list shows which of your orders were created by a standing order, and you can filter it to display only those orders.

Each generated order also carries the reference you gave the standing order with a suffix added, for example STORE-SO1, STORE-SO2, STORE-SO3. If you did not provide a reference, Orkestro generates one for you.

Once created, these orders behave exactly like any other order in the Orkestro Portal, with the same tracking, statuses and proof of delivery. They follow the dispatching rules associated with your merchant, and they are charged on the same terms as the rest of your orders, with no additional charge for setting up or running a standing order.

If you need a standing order to use different fleets or dispatching rules from your normal setup, create it under a separate merchant configured that way. More on setting up dispatching rules for your orders and applying connected fleets settings to multiple stores or merchants.
